12.12.12

Sorry there may be a break in blog transmission for awhile.

The twins decided they would like to see Christmas this year, not next.

Maggie and Elisabeth were born at 5.54 and 5.55 respectively on the 12.12.12.

For more numbers Maggie weighs 777g and Elisabeth 889g.

It was all a bit of a rush and was by emergency c-section.

Maggie and Elisabeth are now in Neonatal intensive care, where they will stay for some months.

Believe me you wouldn't want to see the daily food photos from hospital!!

So I'm not sure when I'll be back here at the Hut Chronicles.

When I saw your post on IG I held my breath as I read it. Such an emotional and overwhelming time for you but I bet the nurses are doing an amazing jib, as are you guys. Yes, you have a long road ahead, but you will do great. Please keep us updated. We may not know you so well (at least we have met in person once!) but we are friends and we all care.
ps I just love the names

Gorgeous names. It's amazing how stong little babies can be, especially when they have a strong Mumma. The next few months will be hard but before you know it you will be celebrating their mile stone and marvelling at how far they have come. xxx

As I have said before you are all in my thoughts so very much. Your emotions must be on roller coaster ride. I hope you can gather strength from the fact that so many of us are thinking of you and loving those twins from far away. Isn't it amazing that you see personalities appearing in such little mites!? It's sounds like the hospital is all geared up for these special girls. Thank goodness for technology. I hope Rob is able to smuggle supplies in for you! I have a little something for those babies but thought I had a little time to get it to you! Much love to you xxxx Sarah

Oh Marian - I gasped when I saw your IG post too - and tried to comment when I was down at Salamanca this morning but it wouldn't let me.
I love, love the names you've chosen.
I'm thinking of you and Rob and wishing you all the best as you start this journey as a (bigger) family.

Warm hugs and the hugest of congratulations.

Wow I totally didnt expect to read that so soon.
I can almost say I know how you feel,(BTDT), only I only had one born at 29 weeks weighing 760g. She has done well after her sudden arrival 23 years ago.Medicine has come a long way since then.
Wishing both all the best. Family support is very important and you certainly seem to have that.
